This is the place to park various thoughts about design, use, features, program developments, strategies, questions, that may arise as you think and pray about the property.

In this early phase of discernment, we could easily take off in hot pursuit of one idea or another. I believe this is a temptation to avoid right now. On the other hand, we don't want good ideas, or important questions to get lost. Hence this page of the blog.

A Place to Park a Few Details

If we anticipate an auditorium to accommodate 400, then we will need 200 parking spaces which covers about 1.7 acres just for the parking berths. The access lanes, etc. would probably increase that number to something between 2.25-2.75.

I do not know whether or not parking areas are included in total lot coverage computations. If so, with the 30% coverage limitation we would need a minimum of about 10 acres.
